What is high looking clothing?

In order for the workwear to bear the title “high-visibility protection”, it must pass a series of test procedures. These tests are specified in the EN ISO 20471 standard, which replaced the larger EN 471 standard in 2013. There are 3 different warning protection classes according to EN ISO 20471:

1st Class
LOWEST WARNING CLASS

Here, as a rule, only a small part of the total area consists of fluorescent material. Here only the calf area and some pockets are made of high-visibility material. Reflective stripes can only be found here in the calf area. The rest of the trousers are not very different from normal work trousers. Garments of this class are designed for roads where passing vehicles are traveling at a speed of 30 km / h or less. This class can also be found in halls or workshops. For class 1, the fluorescent surface should be at least 0.14 m². The reflective material is at least 0.1 m² in size.

2nd Class
MEDIUM WARNING CLASS

This is more like the clearly visible ones you know from traffic. In High Class 2, most of the visible top maltz is fluorescent colored, but some design elements such as knee pad pockets or waistband remain in regular colors. The warning color must be at least 0.5 m² for warning protection class 2.

3rd grade
HIGH WARNING CLASS

These items offer the full spectrum. The cautionary malts incorporate most of the top wares featured here. The reflecting line can also be seen very clearly here. These should be at least 5 cm wide and over both arms. Your shoulders, back and stomach work smoothly. In this way sufficient coverage is obtained for good information.

WHAT DO I DO WITH DIFFERENT COLORS?

Basically, the color of the suit is not important as long as it is constructed and certified according to EN ISO 20471. However, over time, different colors have emerged for different industries. Warning protective clothing is generally only permitted in 3 basic colors: yellow, orange and red. Warning vests with other basic colors are therefore referred to as “identification vests” and are not approved for use in vehicles. The permitted warning colors must be fluorescent, ie ‘glow’ and generally kept fairly bright. Garments can be easily recognized from a great distance based on this color feature alone.

Orange high visibility clothing is often used by local authorities. Construction workers, garbage collectors or road builders often wear this color. Yellow is mainly used in attractive services and mechanic-oriented professions. Yellow is more common on construction sites. The advantage over orange clothing is that yellow is lighter and therefore lighter than orange. So it seems a bit more. Red high-visibility clothing is rarely seen in traffic. This color is widely used by rescue workers, mainly ambulance services to easily distinguish them from e.g. B. road maintenance.

For specific use, for example to wear as a motorcyclist or to go for a walk, the choice of color is entirely up to the user.

For which jobs and applications is there clearly visible clothing?

Hi-Vis clothing comes in almost all shapes and designs for just about every business. Normal work pants and jackets can be used indoors. These garments are usually made from regular trousers and are popular in industrial halls.

Under what lighting conditions is warning protection useful?
In general, alarm protection is useful at any time of the day or night, depending on the working environment. However, the alarm protection is particularly useful once the sunset begins. They can easily be overlooked by drivers, especially when the sun is low in the sky. They are almost invisible in normal clothing, especially at night. High-visibility clothing with lots of reflective strips allows you to see you clearly from hundreds of yards away. When commuting to your place of work, it is important to be recognized in time. The right high-visibility outfit can even save your life in this situation. You can also rely on high-visibility clothing, e.g. B. due to heavy rain or fog. Reflective strips reflect the light,

High-visibility clothing with UV protection

There is a lot to do, especially in summer. To avoid perspiration, many people here wear high-visibility T-shirts or polo shirts. However, this poses a great risk. Where jackets still protect against UV radiation, you are exposed to almost unprotected radiation with many light fabrics. However, lightweight, high-visibility tops with full UV protection have been designed to ensure you can work safely in strong sunlight.

High-visibility clothing for fashion-conscious women

Though some old-style gentlemen thought it impossible, women came into the world of crafting and it’s an integral part – and that’s a good thing. The choice of suitable workwear for women has long been very limited, especially when it comes to hi visibility workwear protection. But a lot has happened about it in recent years. All fashion lines are now specially designed for and with women who wear these clothes every day, either on the construction site or in the workshop.

Warning protection for leisure activities

This is also not a problem. For many leisure activities, especially outdoor activities, it is recommended that you wear high-visibility clothing so that you can be identified quickly and easily in the event of an accident. High-visibility clothing is ideal for this. Basic safety vests are ideal when you want light and highly visible protection, for example for motorcycle tours. In cooler temperatures, you can easily pull on a high-visibility pilot’s jacket over your motorcycle gear.

Clearly visible even in the cold season

In winter you are often outside and on your feet all day. In cold temperatures and maybe even snowfall, without the right protective clothing, it can get pretty tough. Especially when working on the road, the wind can sometimes whistle. In order to protect yourself optimally even in these miserable conditions, you can always fall back on high-quality winter warning protective clothing. For example, if you’re on the road in a vehicle and often have to brace yourself, you need a jacket that offers a lot of freedom of movement and doesn’t hold you back at work.

Finally, high visibility clothing can be used in virtually any situation.
