Meanwhile, the farmer can earn profit by cultivating melon-melon in this empty field. Muskmelon Farming will be sold a lot during the summer, and the vacant land will also be used. To do advanced melon cultivation, read this post carefully until the end.

Use of Muskmelon Farming

Muskmelon is a pumpkin crop that is grown as a cash crop. Its plants develop in the form of vines. Its fruits are specially used for eating, which is more delicious. We can consume its fruits in the form of juice or salad, and the seeds of the muskmelon are used in sweets. It is such a fruit used to eat in large quantities in summer. Its fruit contains 90 percent water and 9 percent carbohydrate content, which keeps you hydrated.

Suitable Soil and Climate

Light sandy loam soil is considered suitable for the cultivation of melon. The land for its cultivation should be with proper drainage because, in the event of waterlogging, more diseases are seen in its plants. The pH value of the land should be between 6 to 7 in its cultivation. Also, prepare the ground with fuel-efficient tractors. And don’t forget to use good quality tractor tires as they can also increase fuel efficiency. Moreover, you can use CEAT Tractor Tyres because the CEAT Tractor Tyre Price is reasonable, and the quality is good.

The season of Zayed is considered suitable for the melon crop. During this time, the plants get warm and humid in sufficient quantities. Its seeds require a temperature of 25 degrees in the beginning to germinate, and 35 to 40 degrees temperature is necessary for the development of plants.

Field Preparation

For the cultivation of melon, first of all, the field’s soil is plowed deeply with turning plows, and the ground is made friable. After the soil becomes friable, the land is leveled by running a path in the field. After this, appropriate size beds are prepared for sowing seeds in the area.

Apart from this, if you want to plant the seeds in the drains, one to one and a half feet wide and half feet deep troughs have to be prepared on the ground. Organic and chemical fertilizers are used in these beds and drain prepared. When the flowers start blooming on the melon plants, during that time, 20 kg of urea has to be given per hectare.

Method of Sowing

In melon cultivation, transplanting can be done in seed and plant form. It reduces the risk of disease in the early stages of the seed. These seeds are planted on both sides of the beds and drains.

After sowing the seed, the field is irrigated by the drip method. Melon seeds are buried in February, and in colder regions, it is planted in April and May. Therefore, its initial irrigation is done immediately after sowing the seed. Later, two irrigations are required in a week, and if there is a rainy season, rinse according to the need.

Irrigation

Irrigate your plants based on the type of soil you are using and the climatic requirements. The crop needs irrigation once every week. However, water only the seeds and not the fruits.
